Manna Lake
This country estate concept emerged from an old revered Manna Gum, Eucalyptus viminalis that lives on the property.
Our extrapolation of the word extends into Mandarin where it translates to ‘medicine for healing’, Latin where it means ‘divine support, gifts, unexpected from heaven’ and Austronesian where Mana translates to ‘powerful, effectiveness and prestige’.
This property sits on an impressive body of water, that has evolved to become a complex ecosystem connected to the bushland surrounding it. Ecological assessments ensured we could manipulate areas of less natural value and create/extend ecosystems where possible with the right species.
Our design worked closely with this home’s architecture to integrate elements of natural beauty, water, rock, plants into a holistic wellness experience wherever you are - from arrival to bedroom, to movement spaces and lakeside relaxation. A place of healing and medicine.
Manna Lake Estate was a true expression of our artistic conceptual process.
From meeting our clients, discussing all their known desires, visions and expectations and alchemising those into a design. This starts with research, and understanding the site, its surrounds, ecosystems and architecture and then putting pen (or pencil, oil pastel, watercolour…) to paper and begin the creation journey.
For Manna Lake, the complexity of this property and its converging spaces required intimate consideration. To not just imagine, but make it functional. Programming each space to make nature, architecture and soul come to life.
