A commercial office garden in Sydney Olympic Park designed to encourage restful interaction in a natural setting.

A forecourt that draws people in.

Our brief was to bring this commercial entry alive — beautiful and attractive enough to draw people into the area, enhancing the architecture and businesses around it while contributing to the green space and aesthetics of the wider Sydney Olympic Park precinct.

Designing for human-scaled gathering.

We introduced dynamic sculptural and screening forms to add richness and texture, diffusing the space into more intimate, human-scaled areas — with seating, covered walkways and shade to encourage people to gather, linger and interact, alongside options for informal activities like chess or handball.

Planting built to work hard and look beautiful.

Substantial trees and shrubs were selected to provide shade, soften the building façades and define the planted areas, chosen for resilience to sun, wind, traffic pollution and pedestrian wear — proof that a planting scheme can be both serviceable and beautiful.
